My Adopted Hopi Grandparents ca.1975

My Adopted Hopi Grandparents ca.1975
David and Alice, in the early 1970's, in front of their home in Shipaulavi on second mesa.

My wife had made that dress for Alice, who insisted on returning the favor. A photo was the request and here it is...probably the last photo ever take of these beautiful people.

David was the wisest man I ever knew and taught me many lessons on how to live life in the "Hopi Way". For many years my life centered around my time with David and my trips to the jungle to gather feathers.
